Persimmon Harvest
Sat, Sep 21
|Shambhala Farm
Once a year, for sometimes less than a month, persimmons come into season. Every year there are too many to harvest and pounds and pounds go to waste. Come pick them until there are no more! We will post harvest time when the first persimmon falls to the ground!

About the event
Did you know Indiana persimmons are only ripe once they fall to the ground. Do yourself a favor and never pick green persimmons off the tree. Your mouth will pucker like you never imagined. We simply cannot pick the persimmons off the ground fast enough! So, we would like to open up the harvest to the community. We will be sharing recipes and ways to process your persimmons via helpful handouts!
Don't want to mess with any of that? We have frozen puree for sale.
